Musical Christmas Opportunities

There are some musical Christmas opportunities as well, one is a free Christmas Concert by the Valley Choral Society this Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening at the Vintage Park LDS church building in Elk Grove. It takes about 30 minutes to get there if you take Hwy 50, go South on Watt Avenue until you turn left at Vintage Park Drive. The Church is on the corner. You may go to valleychoral.org for more information about the choir.

Also, everyone who loves to sing Handel's Messiah is invited to a sing-a-long at Monica Merrill's home on Friday, December 12th from 8-10pm. No need for expertise, no need to be on tune, we're just going to sing our hearts out with the Tabernacle Choir backing us up. We encourage everyone who wants to come to begin looking for babysitters. To make this party extra fun, please bring a favorite side dish or dessert with you. If you have any questions, please call Tami Larson at 220-4931 or Monica Merrill at 984-9939. We have some copies of the Messiah but if you have one of your own, please bring it.

The dvd is actually NOT the MoTabChoir, but "Messiah" fans will love it nonetheless.

A few guys from my late husband's employer are helping set up the aucustical technical necessities, so we are expecting to REALY enjoy feeling like we're right there in the concert hall.

If you have ever wanted to sing a solo from the piece, this is your chance! On the other hand, if you just want to come sing the "Hallelulia" chorus, that's great too!
